PURPOSE
The role is to troubleshoot and attend to fault calls at customer site.
NATURE & SCOPE
Provide support to customer on common hardware and software issues
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Outsource / Attach to customer at location.
- Attending to customer / User fault call (on-site service)
- Perform troubleshooting on both hardware & software
- Below are examples of the common problems/incidents encountered
- Windows and MS Office suite software installation and configuration issues
- Issues with accessing office network and Internet
- Printing issues
- Office 365 issues (including OneDrive)
- Issue with VPN access
- General laptop issues such as unable to boot-up
- Deployment / Installation of IT hardware equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Other IT related jobs as assigned by supervisors
- Must be resourceful on performing and verifying fault for user.
- Candidate must be proactive, update users on issues, fault escalation and contribute to processes improvement
- Generate monthly reports and weekly updates.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma / Higher Nitec in Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably with at least 1 year working experience in related field
- Knowledge of PC hardware, OS and Application Software especially Win 7/10
- Able to perform troubleshooting on both hardware and software
