Our client is a Global MNC, one of the leading players in the Engineering sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Transport Operation Executive to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West – easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of internal/external transport personnel, ensuring smooth operations/processes
- Facilitate communication among the company’s different departments to enhance efficiency in the movement/operations of the company’s equipment, ensuring optimal transport arrangements
- Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of incoming/outgoing equipment to meet the necessary deadlines
- Receive/Manage incoming goods and shipments, coordinating with the various freight forwarders, and arrange the parking accordingly
- Suggest/Implement cost-saving measures, optimizing transportation expenses and meeting the company’s saving objectives
- Update/Maintain the necessary transport delivery information, distributing the necessary documents to the various departments
- Work closely with both internal/external stakeholders to guarantee the seamless execution of the company’s transportation operations
- Monitor/Enhance the company’s transportation policies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing potential policies
- Negotiate/Liaise with various external transport providers to identify the best cost saving methods for transporting the company’s equipment between various locations
- All other adhoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or other relevant field of studies
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Logistics/Transportation Operations
