Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the waste management or environmental services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing deals and achieving revenue targets.
  • In-depth understanding of waste management regulations, technologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with sustainability trends and circular economy principles.


Job duties:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the waste management industry.
  • Analyse competitors and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.


Business Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new clients and expand market share within the waste industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target industries.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation activities.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prospect and engage with potential clients to create new business opportunities.


Proposal and Contract Negotiation:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contract agreements in a timely manner.


Revenue Growth:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals on a consistent basis.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability within existing client accounts.


Industry Networking:

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services and brand awareness.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to support business development efforts.
