Job Description
The candidate is expected to combine simulations and experiments. More specifically: Particle-in-Cell simulations of plasmon dynamics will be performed. Furthermore, experimental monochromated Electron Energy-Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) will be performed on ultrathin metallic films, including momentum-dispersed EELS. Advanced STEM and EELS data processing will be performed, as well as the drafting of scientific manuscripts.
Qualifications
The candidate is expected to hold a PhD degree, or is awaiting the outcome of the PhD thesis submission. The candidate will have 3-4 years of experience with particle-in-cell plasmon simulations. Hands-on experience with monochromated STEM-based electron energy-loss spectroscopy is required as well. The candidate is expected to work efficiently and supportively with students, research fellows, and collaborators.
