We have the following role opening:
Manager/ Senior Manager – Technology
Responsibilities:
- Managing the service desk team
- Awareness of end user needs and changing requirements
- Command and control leadership – ability to understand the problem, analyse and account for incidents
- Manage the service delivery team to successful execution of daily production duties
- Lead technical discussions within the service desk team
- Escalate all production / non-production issues to the relevant teams and stakeholders
- Proactive engagement on all high priority incidents, identify under-reported issues and flag potential pitfalls
- Provide post mortem analysis and reports of incidents
- Authoritatively and confidently guide escalation tickets to resolution
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree within a given technical field
- 7 – 10 years of operations management
- 7 – 10 years in a technical role with expertise in one or more of the following technical disciplines (networking, security, storage, servers)
- 5+ years of experience managing teams especially business service operational support
- Articulating high level business requirements to senior management
- Ability to develop strong rapport and build relationships across departments and at multiple levels of the organisation
- Ability to be proactive with a strong desire for continuous improvement of practices and processes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- ITSM, ITIL and other service management certifications are advantageous
