JOB DESCRIPTION
Support Trading Department (Front Office) in handling internal applications, paperwork, and processes related to the administration of our customers’ or counterparties’ credit lines. This includes, but not limited to:
- Conducting background checks on the counterpart companies (collect and check parent company information);
- Inputting data into the credit system and ensuring follow-up (create credit lines for new customers; process renewal for 500-600 existing customers per year, familiar with commodity type and credit line amount in various currencies); use of specialize systems such as uCas, SAP for data input;
- Perform analysis and interpretations of customers’ data and information (collect / analyze customers’ financial data/annual reports and shareholder structures for listed companies using complex spreadsheets).
- Interacting and communicating with Traders and back-office staff internally, as well as with different business units in HQ; attend weekly meeting to keep up with the market and trading environment;
- Engaging in interactions and communications with the counterpart companies for Know Your Customer (KYC) purposes;
Additionally, support the Chief Operating Officer for office administration work related to the Front Office.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Good degree from a recognized University;
· Possess at least 7 years of working experience, which includes relevant working experience in trading business (energy commodities experience is preferred, but other relevant commodities experience will also be considered);
· High level of awareness in compliance and internal control;
· Basic management, financial, credit and accounting knowledge of energy trading business;
· Excellent English skills, with the ability to logically comprehend a written document, and ability to write formal business correspondences for communication with clients (Japanese/International/local) and other Mitsui Group offices (i.e. Tokyo and other offices in the network). Knowledge of Japanese language will be highly advantageous.
· Good inter-personal skills for internal and external communication.
· Can-do attitude, with the willingness to learn and willingness to work hard to create value, due to international nature of the business.
· Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn new digital tools.
