E-Commerce Business Assistant Manager/ Manager, SEA

The role of SEA eCommerce Business Manager is to support the markets to accelerate our growth on the core markets and channels in the region. Ie Redmart, Amazon, Lazada, Shopee etc- by strengthening and adapting our eCommerce to the channel, developing innovations and PlayBook, coordinating the commercial approach and centralizing the End to End strategy, shoppers marketing and media and Performance Marketing.


Job Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver business performance delivery by ensuring always on plan in each markets to win big events Mega campaigns, single digit campaigns, PrimeDay, BlackFriday, etc. Support new innovations launch, improve product mix.
  • Deliver Pureplayer & Marketplace fundamentals & CASA target, by identifying gap and defining action plan by market
  • Define need for channels’ differentiated assortment (incl SIOC) or exclusive eCOM portfolio and ensure perfect execution in markets
  • Deliver MarketShares targets, by winning the Search and Conversion against competition, ensuring in close collaboration with Global Digital Media Team an always on integrated strategy of sufficient Media and Commercial activations
  • Lead and drive the development of overall digital marketing strategy & plans for ecommerce and (future) total company (offline & online) channel in ASIA/ SEA.
  • Start developing a centralized relationship with key regional customers ie Lazada, Shopee- Media + Sales to leverage partnerships at benefits of markets, driving clarity, simplicity and cost efficiency
  • Develop relevant commercial, shoppers, digital & performance marketing regional playbooks Playbook with bi-annual release made of fresh updates and JDE learnings
  • Work closely with the markets to share best learnings and reapply
  • Insights sharing with the markets
  • Identify and activate emerging customers’ platforms, ie livestream
  • Identify emerging media consumption and consumer engagement trends, share learnings and recommend actions on media execute on to local markets

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field (or equivalent commercial experience)
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a result driven multi-channel environment
  • Experience in shoppers marketing, digital and performance marketing and ecommerce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment
  • Strong knowledge of all digital marketing disciplines, channels and platforms
  • Strong understanding of all online KPIs controlling performance and ROI.
  • Strong analytical skills with strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Self starter with a high degree of initiative
  • Ability and desire to work at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Attention to detail and organised
  • Commercially minded and extremely driven
