The candidate is responsible for a range of tasks and responsibilities such as products sourcing, selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, following up overseas shipment, firm stocks performance management and sales analysis.
The role will also encompass of offsite event on-duty, new stores set up and store visit to ensure smooth retail operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the control, management and procurement functions of the Stationery merchandising department.
- Ensure optimal results performance for merchandise categories assigned
- Work closely with the stores and vendors on all replenishment activities, product range, promotions mechanics and pricing.
- Analyze performance of stock and promotions to determine effectiveness of the product assortment and promotion strategy to drive market share.
- Negotiate with vendors regarding terms, conditions and margins to create competitive edge.
- Monitor and manage warehouse inventory.
- Assist in the setting up of new stores and offsite events
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of purchasing or relevant experiences.
- Good negotiation & communication skills
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willingness to take on more responsibilities.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications or some knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
