Job Descriptions
- Formulate new CNC programs for production runs or adapt existing programs for different machines and make manual program adjustments as needed.
- Assess drawings to ascertain dimensions and select cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Recognize and implement appropriate tooling based on material types, equipment considerations, cutting conditions, etc.
- Develop work holding/fixturing, if necessary, with support from process engineering.
- Resolve issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
- Direct and provide basic instruction to operators/machinists on machine operation.
- Conduct quality checks with the machine operator to verify that the program is producing parts according to specifications.
- Assist in the RFQ quotation fabrication process as required.
- Possess strong time management skills.
- Perform other similar or related duties as instructed by superiors as needed.
Requirement
- Relevant experiences
- Diploma, or equivalent 3-5 years Nitec in Precision, mechanical engineering.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of machine code (G&M code).
- Proficiency in GD&T Demonstrated.
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Heidenhain, and Tsugami controllers.
- Experience in programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Familiarity with Hyper Mill and Solid Work.
