Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the center’s philosophies whilst following childcare regulations and National Quality Standards
- Implement a project based curriculum inspired by Reggio Emelia.
- Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
- Plan, co-ordinate and provide consultation to the Management, staff and customers
- Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior
- Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
- Observe and record children's growth, development and behavior using electronic portfolios
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe
- Monitor and work with the Human Resources on individual staff’s continuing professional development
- Help develop teaching goals for the center and its teachers
- Undertake administrative tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Has at least 5 GCE ‘O’ level credits including English Language.
- Has completed the Diploma in Pre-School Education Leadership (DPE-L) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Leadership (DECCE-L), or its equivalent recognized by ECDA.
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in a childcare setting
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory and curriculum development experience
- Strong in spoken English, communication and interpersonal skills
- A good level of computer literacy
- A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Up to date with the government regulations, curriculum framework (Nurturing Early Learners, Early Years Development Framework), quality assurance framework (SPARK)
- Upto date with the pre-licensing process and approvals.
