BASIC FUNCTION/JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for generating business from corporate accounts and/or travel agents in order to achieve overall sales targets and meet objectives set out in the Sales & Marketing Plan.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

1. To manage, qualify and maximize business potential of designated portfolio of clients within a designated market segment through daily sales calls, effective account serving, site inspection and entertainment and to seek business, generate and maximize the business for rooms and catering sales for the hotel in order to meet sales targets set.

2. Promotes and nurture good relationship with key accounts of the Hotel and other sources of potential business and to identify and develop new business opportunities.

3. To organize familiarization of the hotel and the facilities with clients and potential one and put into motion all sales leads.

4. Ensure repeat business through excellent customer service.

5. To maintain good rates and high occupancy at all times through proper rooms inventory control.

6. Ensure Hotel is able to maximize yield through proper strategies and control.

7. Assist in data collection for marketing plan, SWOT analysis and marketing trend studies.

8. Provide constructive feedback for sales team decision and planning purpose.

9. Ensures a successful branding for Hotel through appropriate marketing and promotional activities.

10. To implement all sales related activities such as planning, monitoring and measuring all customers within defined territory or industry.

11. Maintain a professional sales image while servicing accounts.

12. Assist in setting up and updating database of clients, and manage and maintain the mailing list.

13. To manage and foster strong business relationships with existing key accounts, with files constantly current on sales production, contact persons, etc.

14. To establish strong and active entertainment programme for corporate companies and corporate in-house guests.

15. Attend weekly sales meetings and report on activities in the market as well as competitors’ promotional activities.

16. Develop and implement appropriate marketing strategies to strengthen market position in targeted areas.

17. To be involved in all sales related activities like participation in sales road show / blitzes and attendance in trade function, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, promotions as directed and updates on the marketing trends and promote the hotel internationally.

18. Participates in planning and execution of the hotel’s objectives and directives.

19. Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by Management on ad-hoc basis.
