Key responsibilities
- Lead in game development projects, including game facilitation and client discussions.
- Design and iterate on game mechanics, rules, and components to ensure engaging gameplay experiences.
- Collaborate closely with the content, design, and project teams on developing game concepts and narratives.
- Write game related documents, including any proposals required for prospective commissioned projects.
- Craft playtest feedback questions and analysing collected data.
- Conduct playtesting sessions to gather feedback and make game iterations accordingly.
- Stay up to date on game industry trends.
- Assist in any workshops and events that the company might conduct and/or participate.
- Any other ad-hoc duties
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Creative Writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, including probability, balance, and player psychology.
- Excellent storytelling and world-building skills.
- Proficiency with game design software and tools (e.g., Tabletop Simulator, Tabletopia).
- Knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite will be an added advantage.
- Some understanding of the Singapore and international board game market.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
