Qualification criteria

· University degree, preferably in Business related field (master’s degree preferred)

· Proficiency in English

· 10+ years of professional experience, whereof 5+ years in Sustainable Development

· International experience from multinational company

· 3+ years of proven managerial experience

· Advanced level of MS Office Suite

Main purpose of the job


The Global Sustainability Lead – Climate Change plays a crucial role in implementing procurement strategies with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Providing leadership to the Procurement Sustainability teams globally, this role promotes best practices across all regions and drives Sustainiability initiatives in dedicated areas. A key responsibility is the execution of sustainable category strategies. This role also focuses on building strong stakeholder relationships and managing supplier partnerships, with a specific focus on sustainability. Important too is the management and tracking of sustainability-specific plans and budgets. Ultimately, this role supports Procurement's operational excellence and the continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices, aligning these with Asahi's overall strategy.


Accountabilities and deliverables


1. Implement Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance.

2. Provide leadership to Procurement Supplier Innovation & Value Creation team across the group.

3. Lead Global Procurement Supplier Innovation & Value Creation team overseeing the definition and implementation of functional goals globally.

4. Promote one team spirit between all regions to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge.

5. Support implementation of Global Procurement People strategy and culture, including DEI, employee engagement and well-being.

6. Self-manage adherence to defined governance, policies and processes.

7. Protect all company’s assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.

8. Protect reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.

9. Drive innovation and value creation of sustainable Procurement.

10. Contribute to the complete definition, implementation and successful execution of category strategies.

11. Represent Procurement in relevant committees and governance bodies.

12. Build and enhance strong stakeholder relationships across all agenda specific procurement activities.

13. Develop and maintain strong partnership with suppliers focusing on agenda-specific aspects such as performance and quality assurance.

14. Manage and track agenda specific plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPIs.

15. Support Procurement operational excellence, including its processes and systems.

16. Support continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks.
