The incumbent requires to have in-depth understanding of both the technical expertise and leadership skills to manage a diverse work force. Incumbent will oversee the day-to-day technical and maintenance aspects of ensuring safety and optimal functionality of the facilities. Incumbent will also be responsible for any planning and managing of projects pertaining to technical and facilities aspects.
Areas of responsibilities:
1. Technical Systems Management:
- Manage installation, testing and adjustment of facilities and related systems to ensure compliance with required specifications.
- Supervise, operate, and maintain all technical systems including water filtration, circulation, water temperature, and chemical treatment systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for water quality and equipment operation.
2. Projects Management:
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgetary requirements, and submission for approvals requirements.
3. Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of technicians, mechanics, and other technical staff.
- Ensure proper coverage for daily operations as well as even distribution of work during lull and peak periods.
- Keep abreast of industry advancements and make recommendations of new technologies into waterpark operations where applicable, especially pertaining to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).
4. Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program (PMP) for all equipment and facilities of the park to minimize downtime and extend the life of assets and environment.
- Schedule routine inspections and maintenance tasks for rides, pumps, filtration systems, and other technical components.
5. Emergency Response:
- Establish and oversee emergency response protocols including but not limited to a Risk Assessment for technical malfunctions, equipment failures and/or electrical downtime.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and/or parties to ensure a swift and effective response to any such emergencies.
6. Budget Management:
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage the technical services budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
7. Compliance and Regulations:
- Key personnel in liaison with relevant authorities for all types of inspections and/or approvals, ensuring the technical systems and the structures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
8. Vendor and Contractor Relations:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors providing technical services or equipment to the park without compromising on integrity.
- Negotiate contracts, oversee service agreements, and evaluate the performance of third-party service providers.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, manuals and drawings, etc.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or construction management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical services, construction or maintenance with significant experience in design, specification, implementation, testing and commissioning of industrial systems
- Diploma in Engineering is acceptable with minimum 10 years of related experience indicated above
- Able to work on weekends/public holiday when required
- Experience in managing a team of technicians
- Good communication skills
