Job Summary:
The position is responsible for providing a deep understanding of our brands and therapeutic areas by identifying key strategic business questions, conducting market research and data analytics, and delivering actionable insights to support the strategic vision and products for I-SEA. Specifically:
- Become a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and subject matter expert in customer insights to business leaders across ISEA.
- This position will be responsible for building internal capabilities across 7 countries, serving as a liaison, and driving collaboration between regional and global teams.
- Deep working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative techniques, including MMM, Forecasting, Conjoint Analysis, brand / market tracking and understanding, segmentation, as well as traditional qualitative techniques & ethnographies.
- Strong leadership, collaboration and confidence to lead the team to ask the right questions and build internal and external consensus.
- The position requires a deep critical thinker who can quickly build equity with the organization to influence the cross-functional teams. Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize competing priorities while effectively managing budgets.
- Strong story-building capabilities - the ability to distil complex data and business issues into appropriate and concise recommendations for the business.
Key & Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Develop key business questions and independently lead market research and data analytic initiatives to support brand strategy. This includes identifying market research needs, selecting vendors, designing and executing studies, and interpreting research findings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external research agencies, consultants, and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources for market research projects.
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of market research processes and data analytic methodologies.
- Apply your business acumen and analytical skills to diagnose external market insights. Provide well-founded recommendations to support key business decisions and drive outcomes.
- Act as a strategic partner to the I-SEA Leadership Team. Contribute to brand strategy development by translating market research insights and data into actionable recommendations.
- Proactively identify insight needs and gaps within the business. Recommend appropriate approaches to address these needs effectively.
- Develop customer and consumer insights that are actionable across ISEA countries, with a focus in vaccines
- Utilize modern data visualization and analytics technologies to create dynamic business presentations & dashboards.
- Promote the use of high-quality data and support a culture of fact-based decision-making in Marketing and Commercial teams.
- Ability to easily explain, support, and influence diverse research options to audiences with uneven levels of market research experience.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to our Customer Insights colleagues within the countries.
- Collaborate with ethics, compliance, and legal teams to establish and maintain processes for ethical and legally compliant market research execution.
- Champion a culture of integrity, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and legal guardrails throughout all stages of market research and data analytic activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in global market research to ensure India and Southeast Asia are represented in global studies, and that our markets pull through valuable insights generated.
Qualification / Attributes :
- A minimum of five years of experience in market research and data analytics, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible roles in market research / data analytics.
- A proven ability to coach and lead others, both through formal and informal reporting lines.
- A minimum of two years of experience in working with countries in Emerging Markets.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in utilizing various market research tools, methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including ethics and compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, marketing, and sales.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements related to market research.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience in conducting market research and understanding the nuances of diverse markets.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines and budgets.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including MS Office Suite, statistical analysis tools, and market research platforms.
