Job Description
- Building or facilitating the construction of mechanical systems and components.
- Testing mechanical systems for functionality.
- Fixing equipment failures eg: troubleshoot.
- Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems and problems solving.
- Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety according to specification and codes.
- Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
- Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Preparing MOS & other documents such as RFI etc.
- Preparing report (weekly, monthly) on job progression and completion.
- Ensuring all plans are compliant with governmental health, safety regulations, trades requirements and code of practice.
- Providing guidance and lead team of contractors and execute operation or push works.
- Preparing work schedule, plan ahead of work program, conduct presentation, track and monitor progress of tasks.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree/Master in Mechanical engineering or similar or equivalent, recognized universities under the BCA.
- At least 2-3 years of Experience in a marine construction/construction company is favourable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCad software.
