Main Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day chartering activities including fixing group period charted vessels.
- Negotiate spot cargo rates, terms and conditions.
- Administer all CP’s concluded.
- To respond to enquiries and follow up.
- Maintaining a database of vessel positions.
- Preparing charter parties and other necessary fixture documentation, where required.
- Support the team for all Chartering and Shipping-related matters.
- Liaise with Shipbrokers and Cargo/Shipping Operators in vessel clearance.
- Liaise with vessel(s) for smooth operations and voyage optimisation.
- Ensure a good understanding of cargo/port requirements and organise the prerequisite clearance documents for efficient vessel clearance.
- Ensure a good understanding of market practice and charter party terms for managing the cost exposures.
- Maintain accurate record of Chartering/Shipping activities.
- Responsible for the Fixture Notes preparation and circulation.
- Responsible for the Chartering/Shipping e-filing system.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Navigation /Maritime Studies.
- Min 3 years of relevant working experience in oil trading industry/ or with Tanker Owners.
- Excellent command of English language in order to communicate effectively.
- Good understanding & knowledge of charter party terms and Product tanker operations.
