Investment
- Contribute to team investment process and contribute to team management of assets
- Lead meetings with management of companies
- Attend all regular team meetings to discuss and present investment ideas
- Provide updates on company meetings and results at team meetings
- Represent abrdn in client meetings
- Portfolio Administration
Research
- Undertake security and sector analysis and complete stock notes
- Keep up-to-date on sector, country and market developments and trends
- Country trips and produce investment trip reports
- To perform analysis of company results and provide results commentaries of portfolio holdings
- To undertake a wide variety of index research – rules, performance, construction and index reviews / changes
- Risk Management
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance and dealing procedures
- To comply with all regulatory, legal, corporate and client mandates
- Training and Development
- To build and maintain knowledge of abrdn investment process, products and allocated market/sector responsibilities
- To build and maintain knowledge of abrdn systems, including Charles River, Bloomberg databases
- To participate and attend Continual Professional development opportunities in order to maintain knowledge and skills
Job Requirements:
- A good Bachelor’s degree or Post-graduate degree majoring in Business, Economics or Finance
- CFA qualified (or working towards)
- 6 -10 years of relevance experience in the sell or buy side, ideally with prior experience in Technology and/or Indian research capability
- Possess Fund Manager License would be an added advantage
