Responsibilities
- Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for various marine construction projects.
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates at different project stages, ensuring accuracy and reliability of quantities and cost data.
- Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Analyze tenders, administer contracts, and manage project variations, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Utilize AutoCAD to perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Measure and value the work done on site, liaising with the project team to monitor changes and adjust budgets accordingly.
- Track project costs and expenditures, providing regular financial reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Forecast final costs, identify potential overruns, and recommend cost-saving solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects, providing quantity surveying input and ensuring project objectives are met.
- Attend project meetings, contributing to discussions on costs, progress, and forecasts.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction / Civil Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the marine construction industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market rates.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
