Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and facilitate the construction of innovative mechanical systems and components for marine projects, ensuring they meet functionality and reliability standards.
- Conduct rigorous testing of mechanical systems to assess functionality, troubleshoot and fix equipment failures, highlighting a proactive approach to maintaining operational excellence.
- Evaluate and modify designs to meet project requirements and eliminate malfunctions, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to quality.
- Utilize computer-assisted design (CAD) and engineering software for a wide range of engineering tasks, ensuring precision and efficiency in design processes.
- Ensure all installations, operations, and projects adhere to the highest standards of safety, performance, and customer satisfaction by preparing detailed specifications, technical drawings, and maps.
- Lead the preparation of crucial project documentation, including Method of Statement (MOS), Request for Information (RFI), and regular progress reports (weekly/monthly), to maintain transparency and track project milestones.
- Guide and lead teams of contractors, ensuring operations are executed efficiently and in alignment with project goals, while also pushing forward works and resolving conflicts.
- Develop comprehensive work schedules, plan ahead of work programs, conduct presentations, and diligently track and monitor the progress of tasks, emphasizing strong project management capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental health, safety regulations, trades requirements, and codes of practice, underscoring a commitment to regulatory adherence and workplace safety.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree / Master in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Marine / Civil Constructions industries
- Proficient in AutoCAD software
- Good project management and communication skills
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
