Job Responsibilities:
Client/Contractor Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and expectations for projects.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients on the most suitable solutions for their specific needs.
- Coordination between client, consultant, sub-contractor(vendors) and internal team
- Liaise and carry out evaluation and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
Project Management:
Reviews tender documents / requests for proposal to understand project details and requirements.
- Review engineering calculations, specifications, and drawings submitted by subcontractors/vendors/clients.
- Oversee projects from tender, contract award to completion, handling final accounts.
- Provides detailed and accurate quantity and component take-offs against the drawings as specified In the tender document.
- Sourcing materials and send quotation inquiries to the vendors and subcontractors, comparison of quotes, review of prices, to ensure comply to tender requirement.
- Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents and raise queries for clarifications.
- Ensuring all expenses stay within the allocated budget.
- Compile all documents required for submission. Reviews and interprets engineering documentation such as drawings/specifications/scope of works to fully understand the project requirements for detailed and accurate estimating.
- Provide guidance and instructions to other workers or junior staff members.
- To provides timely clarifications for ongoing submission within the tender and request for proposal duration;
- Evaluating all products and processes and ensuring standardization of quality assurance measures.
- Communicates and negotiates competitive rates with Suppliers and Sub-contractors;
- Responsible for tender cost estimation and the preliminary project cost for tender bids and tender summary for management review.
- To prepare the project preliminary cost for the tenders.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree/Bachelors and above in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Bill of Quantities, Preparation of Tender Documents, Job Site Permit Application and Microsoft Software.
- Familiar with the latest building/construction design codes, specifications and requirements.
- Min. 2 years’ experience in both construction and facility management.
- Able to communicate with clients and approving agencies for purposes of obtaining design information, presenting design intent and options and expediting approvals.
- Able to liaise and coordinates with other design discipline/departments as well as managing sub consultants in preparation of drawing and reports for submission.
- Able to supervise the team and carry out independent review of submission documents.
- Able to lead a team of workers for projects.
- Singapore Class 3 Driving License.
- Proficient in English.
