Our client is a renowned global shipping company with a proud history of delivering innovative and reliable maritime solutions. They operate a diverse fleet of vessels, serving clients across various sectors with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and sustainability. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a talented individual to join as a Newbuild and Projects Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee newbuild projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and shipyards to drive project success and mitigate risks.
  • Manage all aspects of newbuild contracts, negotiations, and technical specifications to meet company requirements and industry regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on ship design, construction, and outfitting, leveraging your background as a Naval Architect.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments throughout the newbuild process, identifying and resolving any issues or deviations.
  • Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making and optimise project outcomes.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management within the maritime industry, with a focus on newbuilds and vessel construction.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ship design, construction techniques, and classification society rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management, design analysis, and technical documentation.
