We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse layout, and ensuring efficient workflow. The Warehouse Assistant Manager will play a key role in leading and motivating warehouse staff to achieve productivity and performance goals while upholding safety standards and company policies.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee in planning, organizing, and directing warehouse operations to ensure smooth functioning and timely fulfillment of orders.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.
• Coordinate receiving, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts to identify discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage configurations to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient material handling.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory control and workplace safety.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Customer Service, to coordinate warehouse activities and resolve operational issues.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory movement, generate reports, and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in periodic audits and inspections to assess warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
• Diploma / Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, warehouse best practices, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software applications for inventory control and tracking.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (preferred).
