A dynamic private equity firm specialising in energy & infrastructure investments is seeking an experienced independent auditor to join their team on a consultancy, part-time basis. Reporting directly to the Chair of the Audit Committee, this role will play a critical role in providing objective assessment of their financial reporting and internal controls. Your insights and recommendations will contribute to maintaining the highest levels of transparency and integrity in their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent audits of financial statements and internal processes within their energy & infrastructure portfolios.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems.
- Provide timely and insightful reports to the Audit Committee regarding findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with management and external auditor to address any identified issues or concerns.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends impacting the energy sector.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Recently retired from a prominent auditing firm, with extensive experience in the energy, infrastructure or private equity investment sector.
- Strong understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality audit engagements with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Independent thinker with a commitment to upholding professional ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in Singapore and South East Asia auditing regulations and practices is preferred.
