JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design and review functional system specifications for electrification related projects
- Provide hardware & software specifications for electrification related projects
- Perform sizing analysis for new build/retrofits of electric vessels
- Study and cacluate structural and hydrodynamics as part of the design process
- Plan, coordinate and execute new build and retrofit projects
- Prepare and engage drawings with stakeholders including clients & marine classifications society.
- Perform the role of lead engineer when appointed
- Provide technical support to operations an commercial departments
- Work towards departmental objectives in the day to day environment and be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments
- Work on ad hoc duties assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Good knowledge of marine vessels and offshore platforms design
- Understanding of structural & hydrodynamics analysis for marine & offshore applications.
- Familiar with design, review and simulation of structural & hydrodynamics analysis
- Familiar with marine propulsion and power systems
- Prior experiences in design and engineering of marine vessels and offshore platforms
- Prior experiences of marine class submission processes
- Prior experiences of system integration roles for marine and offshore vessels (hardware & software)
- Able to understand multi trades Drawings
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of team
- Possess inquisitive and learning mindset
- Familiar with basic office software
- Possess hands-on approach
- Degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architectural or equivalent
