Summary
The Concierge is a hotel guest services representative who serves as the guest’s liaison for both hotel and non-hotel services.
Concierge focuses on helping guests save time by providing appropriate recommendation based on their needs regardless of whether enquiries concern in-hotel or off-premises attractions, services or activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate the Concierge desk in a professional manner with prompt and courteous service to all guests
- Develops strong knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and services and of the surrounding community
- Provides guests with information about attractions, services, and activities in or outside the hotel
- Assist guests with reservations
- Work with housekeeping and security for any lost & found collection
- Handle hotel transportation requests via phone calls or emails and provide prompt confirmation
- Work with hotel transportation vendor in job assignments and ensure guest’s transport is arranged accurately for all bookings
- Assist guest with taxi requests and keep proper records of taxi bookings
- Oversee the concierge and guest services operations in the absence of the Chef Concierge
- Alert Security or Duty Manager of suspicious looking person(s) / articles in the lobby
Qualifications / Experience
- Secondary / High school education
- Excellent communication and customer contact skills
- Service oriented with an eye for details
- Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Must be well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
- Read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
