Overall Job Objective

Manages and carries out the functions of sourcing and purchasing for the company.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily operations purchasing activities (local and overseas) and works closely with the warehouse team to ensure efficient supply and inventory.
  • Oversees drugs, consumables and medical equipment orders.
  • Analyses customer needs and sources drugs / medical consumables and equipment to meet these needs.
  • Analyzes and reviews pricing of products from different distributors.
  • Negotiates and establishes contracts with vendors to optimize value.
  • Ensures business compliance with regulations and requirements such as HSA, MOH, HPA and other related governing bodies.
  • Provides education and training for staff on drugs and treatment guidelines and pharmaceutical-related topics.
  • Works with suppliers, Accounts Department and Customer Service Department for self-collect purchases.
  • Monitors overseas purchasing and liaises with forwarders for product / cargo delivery.
  • Liaises with suppliers on supply short-falls and damages.
  • Registers new suppliers for the company.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Pharmacy) with at least 3 years of related experience in a healthcare.
  • Fresh graduates will also be considered.
  • Registered Pharmacist in Singapore would be a significant advantage.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical devices and products in the medical industry. Familiar with HSA requirements.
  • Possesses good organizational, analytical and excellent communication skills.
  • Possesses good initiative, drive, and ability to work in a fast pace, customer oriented, environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
