The Senior Software Lead & Technical Strategist with Banking Industry Experience will be responsible for translating intricate business concepts into robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions tailored to the unique requirements and challenges of the banking sector.

This role demands a high level of technical acumen, strategic thinking, leadership, and prior experience working within the banking or financial services industry to drive forward the digital transformation initiatives of our clients.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Software Development for Banking:Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of complex software solutions tailored for the banking industry, ensuring compliance, security, and efficiency.
    Architect scalable and resilient software architectures that align with organizational goals, industry regulations, and best practices specific to banking and financial services.
  2. Banking Domain Expertise & Team Leadership:Leverage a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience working in a bank to provide insights, guidance, and direction to the development team (4-15 members), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within a banking context.
    Oversee project lifecycles from inception to deployment within the banking sector, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to regulatory requirements and standards.
  3. Client Engagement, Relationship Management & Banking Compliance:Engage with banking clients to elicit, analyze, and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific standards.
    Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships within the banking sector through proactive communication, expectation management, and transparent reporting.
  4. Technical Expertise, Innovation & Banking Solutions:Demonstrate proficiency in a broad spectrum of technologies relevant to banking, including but not limited to: Agile SCRUM methodologies, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Node.js, Polymer 3, and LitElement.
    Stay abreast of emerging banking technologies, trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to drive continuous innovation, compliance, and process optimization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-level projects within the banking or financial services industry.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of prior experience working in a bank, with a deep understanding of banking operations, products, services, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific challenges
  • Prior experience working with banks or financial institutions, understanding of banking operations, products, services, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific challenges.
  • Certified Scrum Master (PSM I) with in-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Java, Python, Groovy & Grails, Spring, J2EE, EJB, and C/C++/C#, with a basic understanding of Go Language.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management tools such as JIRA, Git, Bitbucket, and Redmine.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with banking clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to achieve their full potential within the banking context.
