Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.
Job Duties:
- Provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory
- Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
- Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testing and have the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities
- Interact with customers on technical issues and questions and provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
- Be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
- Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory and carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
- Utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis
- Be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering or Materials Science with a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
- Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
- In-depth understanding of testing concepts
- Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed and possess strong computer skills
