Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operational Tasks:
- Implementing SAN zoning for data access and security.
- Conducting prompt hardware repairs or replacements.
- Creating and extending Storage Logical Unit Numbers (LUNs).
- Monitoring storage health and addressing issues proactively.
- Continuously monitoring and planning for storage capacity expansions.
- Assessing and maintaining storage performance.
- Troubleshooting storage-related issues promptly.
- Conducting Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and drills.
- Monitoring backup statuses and addressing challenges swiftly.
- Ensuring regular tape maintenance and efficient management of physical tape libraries.
- Overseeing and executing storage migrations with minimal disruption.

- Designing and implementing storage systems aligning with business needs.
- Evaluating and proposing enhancements to boost scalability, performance, and efficiency.
- Collaborating with IT teams to integrate storage solutions seamlessly.
- Monitoring storage performance, identifying potential bottlenecks, and implementing measures for system stability.
- Executing regular backups, implementing disaster recovery plans, and safeguarding data integrity and security.
- Staying updated on emerging storage technologies, conducting research, and recommending innovative solutions.
- Providing technical guidance and support to resolve complex storage-related issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in enterprise-level support.
- Certification in ITIL V4 foundation.
- Expertise in Tru64 Unix, OpenVMS, and Windows environments.
- Proficiency with MA8000, MSA1000 SAN, and Itanium server hardware.
- Comprehensive knowledge of 3Par, EVA, and StoreOnce technologies across multiple platforms.
- Experience in replication technology and Cluster Extension (CLX) setups.
- Competence in managing both virtual and physical tape libraries.
- Familiarity with SAN management, Openview Data Protector, and Netbackup environments.
- Relevant certifications in server hardware and OS maintenance.
