Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in Construction BIM, specifically focused on Fiber Optic Communication Systems (FOCS). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of BIM processes and technology related to FOCS, ensuring the accuracy, coordination, and integration of FOCS components within the project.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of BIM processes and technology specific to Fiber Optic Communication Systems (FOCS) within the construction project.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) tailored to FOCS requirements.
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and coordination of BIM models for FOCS components, including fiber optic cables, conduits, terminations, and distribution equipment.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of FOCS BIM models, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct clash detection and resolution meetings to identify and resolve coordination issues between FOCS components and other building systems.
- Coordinate with FOCS subcontractors and vendors to integrate their models and data into the project's BIM environment.
- Provide training and support to project team members and subcontractors on FOCS-related BIM workflows and tools.
- Utilize BIM data for quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, and construction planning related to FOCS installations.
- Monitor and report on the progress and quality of FOCS BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay informed about advancements in FOCS technology and BIM methodologies, applying best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality..
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in construction management, with a focus on Construction BIM and Fiber Optic Communication Systems (FOCS).
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or Bentley MicroStation.
- Strong technical knowledge of FOCS components, installation methods, and industry standards.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution workflows specific to FOCS installations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- BIM certification or training (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
