Our Client
Our client is a well-established private fund management company where the business primarily comprises finite-life funds that own assets in traditional real estate sectors, including office, retail, and hospitality. They are looking for an Accountant/Senior Accountant with fund management experience to join the new holding company.
Your Role
This is a contract position with opportunity to be converted to permanent employee at the end of the contract. This role reports to Financial Controller with the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely monthly closing of a portfolio of accounts, comprising AP, AR and General Ledger function, including the preparation of audit schedules
- Review of financials submitted by funds and/or joint venture/associated companies
- Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders for related-company invoicing and reconciliation
- Processing of payments and staff claims
- Preparation of GST returns and income tax returns
- Support the annual Group budgeting exercise
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretarial agents where required
- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
- Ad-hoc duties as may be assigned
Your Profile
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and able to handle full set of accounts
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- A self-starter with a positive mindset who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
- Meticulous, analytical and independent worker
