Business Compliance is a team within Singapore Country Manager’s office that manages initiatives in support of priorities set forth by the local regulations. Seeking a motivated, deadline-driven, and meticulous individual who is ready to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of this critical function.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Singapore Outsourcing Committee in its oversight of existing and proposed outsourced activities by administering and coordinating activities in the Singapore Outsourcing Program
- Ensure outsourcing arrangements comply with Singapore regulatory requirements by performing assessment and due diligence on newly identified outsourced service provider (OSP) to determine applicability to the Singapore Outsourcing Program, as well as Ongoing Monitoring on existing outsourced service providers.
- Facilitate proposal on any new outsourced arrangement for Outsourcing Committee’s approval.
- Perform assessment of Operational Risk Events (OREs)’s applicability to existing outsourced service providers
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of the MAS Outsourcing Register
- Organize Outsourcing Committee Meeting on a quarterly basis and/or an ad-hoc basis, if required
- Interact closely with various stakeholders / teams, not limiting to Legal, Market Compliance, Controllership, Operational Risk, and Supply Management to coordinate the outsourcing activities.
- Maintain record of all outsourcing-related documents, meeting minutes, assessments, and approvals obtained in Shared Drive
- Perform Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) on High-Risk Customers referred by Market Compliance as well as, prepare communications to request for KYC documentations from Card Member on an ad-hoc basis.
- Perform audit management activities including coordinating with Market Compliance, Operation Excellence and Audit team on pre-audit checks, as well as during and post-audit work.
- Partner with Operational Excellence to coordinate and facilitate Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) testing
- Execute and coordinate ad-hoc business compliance-related activities to ensure business is compliant with MAS regulations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or any related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Compliance, Audit or Legal would be good to have
- Good understanding of Singapore regulatory outsourcing governance
- Ability to execute tasks independently with appropriate coaching.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented individual with good analytical mindset
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding judgment and flexibility, identifying and reacting to critical issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
- High standard of integrity
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications
