Responsibilities:
- Perform complex physical and logical Oracle database administration activities includingDatabase related project management
Database installation, administration
Oracle Database performance management, monitoring, backup, restoration
Change management of company’s mission critical RDBMS systems under minimal direction or supervision
Database/SQL tuning, performance optimization and data realignments
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Shell scripting to automate DB operations
- Prepare documentations and specifications
- Maintaining production, UAT and dev databases without outage
- Provide recommendations on architecture/design decisions that will ensure optimal application performance with Oracle
- Rotational shift coverage which include weekends and holidays
Requirements:
- More than 8 years of experience in Oracle Database administration on oracle versions 19c, 21c & 23c hosted on various Unix flavours.
- At least 3 years of experience on Oracle RAC & Dataguard on 19c and higher versions.
- Exposure to Oracle database upgrade from 19c non multitenant to 21c/23c multitenant.
- Experience with RMAN backup & restore and Shell Scripting Required.
- Hands-on experience in Oracle patching and multitenant architecture.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, problem solving skills and self-initiative
