Job Responsibility:
- To be the focal point for the co-ordination of vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Control vehicle, plant and equipment registers ensuring that all license and service timelines are met.
- Management of plant and equipment tracking systems.
- Process plant and equipment requisitions as required.
- Control and update registers/systems to reflect plant and equipment hire status.
- Identify and arrange shipping/transportation for plant and equipment deliveries to project schedules.
- Identify areas where suitable improvements, innovations and cost solutions can be made; challenging, where appropriate, the existing standards.
- Liaise with existing suppliers (vehicle repairs and maintenance) and request damage repair quotes from alternative suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated where required.
- Ensure thorough and timely inspection of slings, lifting equipment, harnesses and ladders.
- Ensure all electrical equipment is tested and in good working order.
- Assist in stores where required.
- Production and circulation of any required project management reports.
- Preparation of site and office documentation as required.
- Document control and tracking.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor/ Management
Job Requirements:
- Minimum CGE O Level or possess a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in the related field
- Knowledge and understanding of construction plant & equipment management
- Meticulous, willing to learn, able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
