Responsibilities:
- Reviews and understands all plans and specifications of projects
- Reviews and understands all contract documents before tendering/bidding of project or enquiry
- Reviews all Materials Take-Off (MTO)
- Reviews all labour & materials cost for quotation
- Meets with subcontractors and major material vendors to maintain updated rates/price list on materials and services required, in coordination with Purchasing team
- Coordinates with Operations and Production team for labour and other related costings to ensure all quotation provided are at a competitive level
- Ensures all additional costings are captured for all projects
- Performs any other work as assigned by the superior
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in any fields and or its equivalent
- 3 years and above experience as QS in Marine Shipyard industry
- Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
- Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
