Responsibilities:
Tender
- Evaluate tender requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Evaluate propulsion system and piping systems that best meet tender requirements
- Formulate scope of work for contract
- Do material estimate for conversion tendering
- Do technical evaluation of equipment supplier proposals
Contract Drafting and Negotiation
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Negotiate scope of supply and services with suppliers
- Formulate equipment technical specifications for contract with suppliers
Design
- Technical discussion with equipment suppliers on system specifications
- Evaluate completeness and correctness of technical information from supplier
- Design engineering layout drawings based on customer's requirements
- Design engineering equipment layout drawings based on contractual requirement and inputs from other trades
- Design propulsion system, ship pining systems & HVAC based on contractual requirement, classification rules and inputs from other trades.
- Tabulate material and equipment list based on propulsion system drawings and piping, HVAC system drawings.
- Plan, manage, produce, and issue drawings to production and other trades to meet project schedule.
- Evaluate technical information of designing systems.
- Plan, organise and discuss engineering systems design with customer.
- Involve in technical discussion with other trades to resolve technical issues.
Test and acceptance
- Review acceptance test protocols
- Manage and do acceptance of system’s equipment during Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to ensure it meets technical specification.
- Attend and support Harbour and Sea Acceptance Test (HAT & SAT) to ensure systems meet technical specifications
Documentation control
- Manage documents control for the department according to standard and practice.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marine, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Have knowledge of Marine Engineering systems design, preferably 3-5 years of direct experience.
- Possess knowledge of AutoCAD / 3D solidworks software.
- Good organisational skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and is able to meet tight deadlines
- Willing to do overtime when required

- Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
