Our client is a global MNC, one of the most established pioneers in the Chemical industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Systems Operations Engineer to be part of their IT Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.
Duties of Systems Operations Engineer:
- Provide operational support and administration for system infrastructure.
- Monitor performance of regional system and storage infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring of infrastructure and services, enabling clear visibility and awareness of potential failures or gaps at regional level.
- Identify and resolve problems/issues, collaborating with multiple vendors to determine root causes and implement suitable solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of current configurations in the Knowledge Base.
- Assist in implementing approved infrastructure changes, maintenance routines, and updates/upgrades for components.
- Conduct data backups and execute disaster recovery operations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
- 2 – 4 years of relevant experience with Hardware Systems
