- Planning, organizing and controlling projects. Construction Supervisors are responsible for supervising the contractors and staff while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ensure workplace safety, regulation, and security
- Responsibilities may also include managing and instructing the site workers, setting goals for the team, and seeing projects through to completion.
- Work with team and contractors to ensure that the correct materials and tools are on the job at all times.
- Supervises and coordinates additional contracted personnel as necessary. Monitors all sub-contractors and required inspections. Inspects each phase of work to determine if quality standards are met and that trades are completed on schedule.
- Organize work plan, coordinating with Construction Manager prior to their build day on site.
- Hold toolbox meeting to begin each work day. Provide adequate supervision and training of volunteers on the job site. Remind safety guidelines, and ensuring that all work done meets all safety compliance requirements.
- Assist in handling and receiving of materials & equipment on site
- Accountable for safety of all personnel and security of the materials and dwellings on job site. Must lead by example and follow all safety requirements set by the maincon.
- Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with drawings, designs, specifications and all authorities regulations
- Arrange and plan workers working schedule weekly / monthly
- Daily updates of work progress to Project Manager/ Engineer
