To follows the Uniteam Marine business development strategy as set out in the Annual Business Plan include following and works closely with the UM management team:
· Promotes and supports the mission and vision of Uniteam Marine.
· Operates in accordance with the Uniteam Marine Code of Conduct.
· Continually monitors UM business development strategies, objectives, targets and measurable KPIs.
· Gives input to the annual Business Development Plan in close co-operation with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
· Develops business opportunities via well-established contacts in the shipping market.
· Identifies opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
· Tracks individual competitor companies and their developments as well as gathers market intelligence.
· Locates and proposes potential business deals by contacting potential clients as well as exploring opportunities.
· Gathers marketing intelligence to be used for the preparation of service offers.
· Coordinates management offers/tenders for prospective clients in close co-operation with the CCO and MD and presents them if necessary during client visits.
· Monitors and follows up on offers / tenders provided to clients.
· Fosters and maintains close relationships with existing clients through periodical visits and as may be instructed by the Management.
· Responds to customer requests/enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Ensures the timely and proper handling of customer complaints.
· Maintains accurate records of data related to customers and prospects.
· Is fully aware of UM latest service offerings and keenly aware of UM’s strengths and unique selling points.
· Exhibits a creative, proactive and an innovative approach for new business opportunities.
· Performs on any other business development project assigned to him/her.
