Duties and responsibilities
- Works with Solution Architect & BAs on end-to-end solution, evaluate and recommend suitable IDMC services.
- Uses standard data modeling, data flow, and data documentation tools to analyze, document and present data analysis work.
- Works with non-technical, subject matter experts to understand underlying data behavior and characteristics in ways that will be new for such non-technical people.
- Works cooperatively with others to resolve data and process issues.
- Plans & develops ETL, Data preparation/aggregation processes from various sources to MSSQL database/PostgreSQL DB
- Create, maintain, and optimize ETL and other informatica processes to adapt to changes in needs and requirements.
- Responsible for developing and managing informatica configurable artifacts (code, environment, configuration files, documentation).
- Plans Informatica ETL unit, SIT and UAT tests.
- Familiar with stored procedures, functions, inline SQL, database structures
- Provide post-production application support as required.
- Follow established standards and best practices and provide input for improvement of those processes.
Informatica ETL Developer qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Must have 5 to 8 years of Informatica development experience.
- Current experience with Informatica PowerCenter v10.5+.
- Experience with migration of Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC.
- Experience with performance tuning of sources, mappings, targets, and sessions.
- Experience with Data Architecture and Data Modeling concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server/PostgreSQL DB.
- Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming.
- Ability to work with development and operations teams to tune production queries for optimal performance.
- Knowledge of git Source Control. and Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or deployment automation tools.
