System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Perform daily system monitoring to ensure integrity and availability of hardware, resources, and critical processes.
- Monitor server performance and address issues proactively to prevent downtime.
- Conduct hardware break-fix activities including analysis, log capturing, and faulty part identification and resolution.
- Collaborate with project teams for IBM server hardware inventory and associated component management.
- Support firmware patching, component replacement, and server consolidation/migration tasks with IBM.
- Coordinate with vendors for server/storage implementation, configuration, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
Technical Support and Assistance:
- Assist in IBM HMC call home testing and server consolidation.
- Provide coverage support for IBM Power, HPE x86, DELL x86, HDS, and CISCO UCS servers and storages.
- Assist with data center relocation project preparation, verification, and post-migration support.
- Assist ad hoc duties assigned by the Unix/Wintel/Storage team members.
- Assist IBM TLS Project team on breakfix analysis and liaise with relevant SingTel teams.
Data Center Infrastructure Management:
- Conduct data center floor walks for physical inspection and assessment to ensure proper functioning, security, and efficiency of the infrastructure.
