Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute new food product concepts for Asian desserts and American-style pizza products, from ideation to commercialization.
- Design recipes that meet quality standards, taste preferences, and operational feasibility.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for new product development. Stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies for product development activities.
- Establish, update, and sustain effective implementation of the plant’s Food Safety, Quality, HACCP Management systems.
- Establish, update, and maintain product formulation and specification, review and verify nutritional information, sensory, and shelf life for new/market products.
- Support operations (incoming quality, production deviation management, non-conformance troubleshooting) to ensure products released meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the Master Document Controller, formalizing documents for Food Safety and Quality document and records as per documented information procedure, and maintaining record-keeping.
- Liaise with government agencies/certification bodies, such as SFA, HPB, MUIS, on all matters regarding product registration or plant certification information.
- Provide training (GMP Hygiene, HACCP, and Food Safety) to Operations and Production staff.
- Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors and able to perform superior’s roles and responsibilities during his/her absence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in food product development and food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety regulations (SFA), and quality assurance protocols (HACCP).
- Strong culinary skills and creativity in recipe development.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suites. Knowledge of Visual Basic will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates and vendors).Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or related field.
