Purpose and Scope
- As a key member of maintenance team, you will be working with a dedicated team and responsible for the gas plant and service corridor IAC maintenance with the aim of meeting performance targets of reliability and availability and complying fully with regulatory requirements, company policies, SOPs and HSSE standard.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- In-charge of field I&C device and instruments including flow meter, flow computer system, gas chromatography, online analyzer, sensors, transmitter, gauge, as well as DCS/PLC in gas receiving terminal, end user’s metering skids and utilities customers metering station and battery limit. To ensure proper maintenance and good working condition of field instrumentation and control system to achieve high reliability.
- To plan and ensure adequacy of IAC preventive maintenance for gas plant, gas metering skids and utilities metering stations.
- To lead technicians and manage contractors to execute IAC preventive maintenance program according to schedule.
- To prioritize and execute the corrective maintenance work timely
- To ensure field instrumentation and metering equipment with valid and up to date calibration/validation with proper documentation records of certificates and reports.
- Co-ordinate with all end user and vendor/contractor for I&C planned and unplanned maintenance/calibration/rectification works.
- Review performance of the entire I&C device & metering equipment to determine limitations. Review periodically and adopt changes with upgrading of IAC devices & instruments to improve its functionality and reliability.
- Responsible for the budget planning for IAC and proper utilization of the budget with cost optimization.
- Withdraw and prepare spares from warehouse for job execution. Keep track of the spares level to ensure sufficient maintenance spares are available.
- Work under company’s Permit to Work system as competent person (CP) to apply permit. Supervise contractors and liaise with other maintenance crafts and operations technicians to execute maintenance activities
- Develop MSRA for IAC maintenance activities and Review MSRA from vendor and conduct toolbox meeting/pre-task talk for all I&C activity.
- Support other maintenance function, operation and other departments as when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in instrumentation Engineering or Electrical/Process Engineering with relevant training and experience in instrumentation and control related to process industry. IAC diploma holder with process industry experience will also be considered.
- 3~5 years for Degree holders or 7~10 years for Diploma holders
- Hands on experience on maintenance/troubleshooting of field instrumentation (meters, control valves, analyzers, chromatographs), metering calibration/validation and remote monitoring/control system in a chemical/petrochemical/utility/power industry
- Class 3 Driving license

- Subject expert in instruments and control matters
- Competent in interpreting engineering drawings including P&ID
- Knowledge on local and international standards pertaining to metering/metering calibration
- Resourceful about reputed IAC vendors
- Good planning, organizing, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good team player and able to deliver results within tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Self-driven, independent with positive attitude and willing to learn.
- Possess good leadership skills
