Job Description & Requirements
- To assess clients’ rehabilitative needs, plan, implement and oversee occupational therapy services in the Centre
- Be part of the team conducting care assessment to assess a client’s rehabilitative needs
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments to determine the needs of clients
- Develop and implement care plans for the clients and their care-givers with other clinical staff
- Plan, implement and evaluate group and individual activities to provide functional rehabilitation, cognitive and sensory stimulation, social and community engagement
- Conduct and/or supervise group and individual activities for the clients
- Conduct education training and support for care-givers
- Maintain close communication with the caregivers on the client’s progress in the centre
- Provide training and support for staff and volunteers
- Maintain documentation of clients’progress and outcomes of care provision
- Supervise therapy aides/assistants in the provision of therapy services to clients
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Must have a valid Registered Practising Certificate with Allied Helath Professions Council
- Have experience working in a Nursing Home
