Job Description
As a Validation Engineer, you play a pivotal role in our organization by ensuring that each product release surpasses quality expectations. Your responsibilities encompass understanding potential system failures, designing validation scenarios, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Acting as a gatekeeper in a dynamic product cycle, you will independently plan and execute tests, maintain automation scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently plan and draft test specifications, methods, and instructions against product hardware and software performance requirements.
- Maintain, update, and develop test automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency, data collection, and analysis.
- Oversee Product Design Validation, Testing, and Documentation to ensure alignment with internal quality standards.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on test equipment setup, availability, and specifications.
- Manage the entire testing process, from planning and development to execution, inspections, root cause analysis, documentation, and failure analysis.
- Develop and maintain validation schedules, coordinate test resources, and communicate status/blockers to program managers.
- Conduct ad-hoc troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of test robots.
- Analyze system requirements and implement system verification tests.
- Provide feedback to product and system design/development teams.
- Develop new test methodologies and specify test fixtures.
- Execute system tests manually and using developed automated tests.
- Guide, develop, and supervise junior engineers in verification activities.
- Follow test processes and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience in electronic engineering, software, or a comparable engineering discipline.
- Basic working understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Embedded C, SQL, and/or Python is advantageous.
- Knowledge in developing Proof of Concepts is preferred.
- Assertive and creative individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to thrive in a highly ambitious and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary, Agile team, using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Experience with NI or other remotely controlled instrumentation.
- Knowledge or experience working with sensors/actuators is a plus.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to experts in different fields.
