COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Day to day monitoring and coordination with 3PL warehouses in logistics (inbound & outbound) operation issues.
  2. Trigger and coordinate with 3PL for adhoc operation e.g. transloading
  3. Coordinate between 3PL and GLS transport team for movement operation for goods.
  4. Trigger 3PL outbound order processing
  5. To submit an investigation/incident report as and when damaged goods are discovered.
  6. To work closely with logistics planner to ensure appropriate stock placement ratio at multiple site:
    • To monitor and update the stock level of various product categories are maintained according to target set.
    • In the event of stock outbound or stock rotation, to analyze and inform logistics planners the product type to be brought back to site in order to optimize the storage site and restore the correct product mix ratio.
    • To maintain and update the emergencies distribution plan.
  1. Detailed forecasting of demand and capacity.
    • Base on the incoming stock arrival schedule and stock rotation strategy, to derive week-by-week resource forecasts on trucking, unstuffing, warehouse space, pallet requirement etc.
    • To produce week-by-week forecast on site utilization rate (to predict when a site will be fully utilized)
    • To predict capacity excess/shortfall and its excess/shortage quantum, if applicable
  1. Analytics Tasks
    • In the event of capacity shortage, to work closely with logistics planners and to produce an overview report of outstanding containers (indicating containers that have higher priority). To provide recommendations and to work together with stakeholders for mitigation actions.
    • Analysis of inventory and consumption trends at replenishment warehouses. To recommend stock retrieval from stock warehouse back to replenishment warehouse or to direct incoming stock into replenishment warehouse directly (without transit from stock warehouse), with the aim to maximize stock availability at replenishment warehouse and to minimize physical stock movement.
    • To analyse and recommend stock optimization policies at replenishment warehouses, and to direct excess stock to be stored at off-site location, ensuring warehouse space is optimized in storing the most critically needed products.
    • Produce weekly management reports on overall inventory and stock arrival status
  1. Budgeting and Billing
    • To work with FPG Trading on the budgeting of total logistics cost for new inbound goods
    • To submit total logistics cost on disposal based on waste minimisation directives
    • To verify all 3PLs billing and submit for approval
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistic/Supply Chain Management or other equivalent fields
  • Diploma qualification with working experience
  • 2 years of experience in a warehousing and/or Supply Chain Management environment and/or hands-on experience with 3PL billing module and any warehouse management systems is plus
  • Fresh graduate is welcomed to apply
  • Strong analytical mindset and skills, with the ability to convert analysis into sharp business insights for decision making
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite
  • Enthusiastic and self-starter, with proven ability to propose and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:35pm
