My client is a growing multi-family office in Singapore specializing in providing comprehensive wealth management services to HNW & UHNW individuals and families. They offer a wide range of investment solutions, including traditional asset classes, alternative investments, and bespoke strategies tailored to our clients' unique needs.
The Job
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead their investment team and drive the overall investment strategy for our multi-family office. The CIO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the investment process, from asset allocation and portfolio construction to manager selection and due diligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the financial goals and risk tolerance of clients, taking into account macroeconomic trends, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
- Design and manage diversified investment portfolios across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and real assets, to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
- Conduct rigorous due diligence on external investment managers, funds, and strategies to identify high-quality investment opportunities and monitor performance.
- Implement robust risk management processes and controls to mitigate portfolio risks and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert investment advice and recommendations to HNW & UHNW clients, family members, and other stakeholders, building strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and personalized service.
- Stay abreast of global market trends, economic developments, geopolitical events, and industry insights to make informed investment decisions and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global financial markets, a proven track record of generating superior investment returns, and the ability to effectively communicate complex investment concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in investment management, with a focus on multi-asset class portfolios and alternative investments.
- Strong track record of generating investment returns and managing risk in challenging market environments.
- Deep understanding of global financial markets, investment products, and portfolio construction techniques.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
- Leadership experience in managing investment teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) and regulatory licenses (e.g., MAS) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Mandrin is preferred as there will be interaction with Chinese-speaking clients
