As an Marine Service Engineer, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in servicing marine systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist in providing technical support, commissioning, and servicing of marine systems and equipment under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Shadow experienced engineers during on-site inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of marine systems, including automation systems, controls, propulsion, and power management systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand client requirements and assist in providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Assist in generating service reports, updating technical documentation, and maintaining accurate records of service activities.
- Participate in the planning and execution of refit/retrofit projects, gaining exposure to project management and coordination tasks.
- Receive training in providing remote guidance and product support to clients, learning to offer timely assistance and troubleshooting advice.
- Support the sales department by assisting with technical inquiries, proposals, and bids, under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies in all service activities, ensuring compliance and safety at all times.
- Continuously learn and update knowledge of marine technology trends, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Maritime, or related field.
- Strong interest in marine technology and a desire to pursue a career in the maritime industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
