Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor (QS) Cum Drafter. The successful candidate will be responsible for both quantity surveying tasks and drafting duties within our construction projects, particularly focusing on steel and metal works.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze project cost estimates, budgets, and quantities for steel and metal works.
2. Assist in tender preparation, including the measurement and preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation.
3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
4. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project progress and verify measurements.
5. Assist in drafting technical drawings and plans related to steel and metal works, including structural details and fabrication drawings.
6. Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
7. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing for materials and services related to steel and metal works.
8. Assist in contract administration tasks, including variation orders, claims, and final account settlements.
Requirements:
1. Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and drafting, particularly in the construction industry in Singapore.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, particularly in steel and metal works.
5. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
6. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
